A 72-hour lag time to silence the worst online bullies.

Review bombing by online trolls has led to services like Rotten Tomatoes revealing low user ratings for films and movies.

Amazon is postponing the publication of original content like “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” to solve this issue.

Variety reports that Amazon implemented their new approach with A League of Their Own, delaying user ratings by three days and 24 hours.

It seems that the notion is that if you can make the initial hurdle challenging enough, trolls won’t bother attempting to tear it down again since it will be too tough for them.

Amazon aims to investigate each customer review to identify whether it was produced by a bot, troll, or other digital goblin.

On Prime Video, 80% of viewers gave A League of Their Own five stars while 14% gave it one star. The movie was successful.

The new effort will be tried when The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power reviews are enabled. Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power reviews will test the new effort.

This is a huge difference when contrasted to the average score of 84% in critical praise, which was received by the work in question.
