Since the airline’s parent company filed for bankruptcy, all Aha Airlines flights between Medford and Reno have been canceled.
Aha Airlines has discontinued flying to Reno and Lake Tahoe, Nevada, due to bankruptcy. Less than a year after the airport opened, these routes were formed.
ExpressJet Airlines, based in Atlanta, the parent company of Aha Airlines, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday.
Aha Airlines suspended its operations the next day due to market and economic issues. Tuesday, ExpressJet filed for bankruptcy.
A flight operated by Aha Airlines for the first time ever from the Medford airport took place on October 31, 2021.
As part of this endeavor, shuttle service was developed between Reno-Tahoe International Airport and important West Coast towns.
At the airport in Medford, water spray arch ceremonies were staged to celebrate the commencement of the direct flights, and the airline offered $49 one-way tickets to passengers.
Jerry Brienza, director of Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport, did not comment on the airline’s insolvency. This airport has many airlines.
