Three children and their parents were shot and killed in their house on Friday in Cecil County.
In a targeted and fatal shooting that took place on Friday in Elk Mills, Maryland, all five members of the Milligan family were taken out and killed.
According to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, officials discovered the remains of the parents and three children throughout the house and garage on Friday morning.
Parents’ remains were discovered inside. Marcus Edward Milligan, 39, was arrested Saturday with a semi-automatic weapon, authorities said.
According to the autopsy, his wife, 37-year-old Tara Devina Ricker Milligan, and three children, Finn, 14, 11, and 8, were all dead.
Unidentified caller told police at 9:19 a.m. that a father, a mother, and three children were shot to death.
The Milligan home was a location that had never previously required the presence of law enforcement.
The investigation being conducted by the Sheriff’s Office in Cecil County is still underway. At this moment, there is no threat to the safety of the general population.
