This Saturday is “National Cinema Day,” so movie theaters are offering $3 admission to encourage repeat visits.

Finally! It works! Variety reports that 8.1 million people went to the cinema on Saturday, up from 1 million on Friday and 1.7 million on Sunday.

The fact that 2022 saw more people go to the movies than any previous year is evidence that when tickets are just $3, people will rush to the theater.
