There have been allegations of sexual misconduct between a pupil and a teacher in Statesville.
Statesville police re-arrested a teacher on child sex charges after finding the juvenile victim returned to her home nine times following her original arrest in August.

In August, Bailey, age 36, was taken into custody and charged with one count of felony statutory sex offense with a minor under the age of 15.
Bailey was prosecuted after Channel 9 searched her “digital and social media activities” A victim’s family allegedly told authorities about the sexual encounter.
In a short period of time after her first incarceration, Bailey was charged and subsequently placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
As a condition of her release from jail after posting bail, she was ordered to maintain a safe distance from the juvenile victim.
According to reports from the sheriff’s office, “the juvenile victim had come to Bailey’s residence on nine separate occasions since her first arrest on August 1, 202.”
Sheriff’s deputies allegedly added 27 additional charges against Bailey on Friday. Law officers apprehended her at home and took her to Iredell County Jail.
She’s accused of contributing to a child’s delinquency, intimidating a state witness, and breaking her pre-trial parole. These allegations might be criminal.
