Conflict at a barricade in Norfolk has ended amicably, and the culprits have been apprehended.
In the aftermath of an incident in which suspects evaded capture, the police in Norfolk were investigating a barricade situation in the Norview area.
On Wednesday morning, about 12:50 a.m., officers were sent to the 6500 block of Chesapeake Boulevard after receiving reports of a gunshot victim in that area.
When the police came, they discovered a female victim who had a gunshot wound that was not considered to be life-threatening.
The responding police saw the strange automobile and attempted to pull it over, but the driver sped away before the officer could catch up with him.
When the police arrived, the occupants of the vehicle jumped out of the vehicle and ran away from them before entering an apartment located in the 1300 block of Johnstons Road.
The suspects were taken into custody at around 9:15 in the morning, after there was a short standoff at the apartment.
As a direct consequence of the inquiry, the law enforcement officials were successful in recovering a vehicle that had been reported stolen and seizing more firearms.
