At least three people were shot and died on Sunday, September 4, and the St. Paul Police Department’s Forensics Services Unit investigated.
Sunday, three individuals were shot and died and two others were injured on St. Paul’s East Side. Police are searching for the shooters.
At around 4:30 in the afternoon, police were called to the 900 block of Case Avenue E, where they discovered two victims waiting for them outside of a two-story apartment.
Both were shot. When police came, they found three additional victims. Officials declared all three individuals inside dead.
According to Sergeant Mike Ernster, who serves as the spokesman for the St. Paul Police Department, “This is one of the most detailed crime scenes we have reviewed in some time.”
At that time, there was a paucity of information. The identities of the victims and their connections have not yet been established by the police.
“We recognize that people want answers for what occurred here tonight,” Ernster was quoted as saying by the reporter.
St. Paul had 25 to 27 murders in 2018. In the preceding year, police were called 17 times to investigate disorderly conduct or physical assault.
