Six days after sustaining horrible injuries in a collision, a motorcyclist has passed away in the hospital.

On Sunday, the 30-year-old man, who has not been formally identified at this time, was unable to win his battle for survival at the Royal Stoke (September 4).

At 3.40 a.m. on August 29, a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a silver LDV van collided on the A34 near Tittensor. The accident summoned police.

"After a collision last month that killed a motorcyclist, we're appealing for witnesses and information," said a Staffordshire Police spokeswoman.

"The rider had severe injuries and had to be transported by ambulance to Royal Stoke University Hospital. On Sunday, he passed away while he was in the hospital.
