A bird broke the Red Arrows' windshield during the Wales air show.

Sunday's aerial accident between a Red Arrows jet and a bird broke a window and ended the team's performance early.

The world-famous aerial display group ended the Rhyl Air Show in north Wales following fly-bys by Typhoon aircraft and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

On the opposite side, witnesses reported they heard a "loud pop" from above, then Red 6 fell to the ground.

A bird cracked the cockpit glass, obstructing the pilot's eyesight, forcing him to make an emergency landing.

The event announcer added, "The bird's sound suggests it's in the tree's canopy." The bird pierced the canopy to hear the wind.

"Honestly, that's the most likely conclusion. If what you claim is true, Red 6 will be compelled to land with Seven on his wing since they can now hear the air traffic controllers.
