Gacha games are similar capsule toy or gachapon machines. They encourage you to buy random in-game products with in-game currency or real money.

Genshin Impact, Dragalia Lost (which is shutting in November), Fire Emblem Heroes, and Pokémon Masters EX feature gacha.

YouTuber Jenny Geist received an in-game notification today that said a new store would be accessible in Mario Kart Tour on October 4 with new and returning items.

You can use in-game rubies to buy new drivers, karts, and gliders in the store, which may have rotating stock. So monetisation remains, but randomness is removed.
